The research agenda

Begin with what people mean.

Human Intent asks how intelligence can understand an aim, preserve human authority, and remain accountable to the people it serves.

what did the person mean — and who decides?

What is Human Intent?

Human intent includes an aim, its context, and the limits around it. A prompt captures only a fragment. We study the harder distance between what a person means and what a system does, including where the system should pause, ask, or decline.

The frame

Intent has structure.

Outcome

What should change?

Name the result in terms a person can recognize, rather than treating activity as completion.

Authority

Who decides?

Money, identity, privacy, publication, and irreversible choices remain human decisions.

Context

What matters here?

The same words can carry different meaning across people, moments, and consequences.

Evidence

What actually happened?

A claim should stay within the evidence that supports it, including when the result is negative.

The boundary

A direction, not a declaration.

Human Intent does not mean that software can read a person's mind. It does not mean every action should be automated. It does not mean Vext Labs has proven a new type of intelligence.

It gives the lab a question against which to test research and product decisions: does this help a person express an aim, keep authority, and inspect the result?

Research

Keep the scope beside the result.

Measured, proposed, toy-scale, and failed work remain distinct in the public record.

Product

Give the idea somewhere practical to meet reality.

JUWEL is the product built by Vext Labs. Product claims, availability, and access belong on juwel.ai.

Working method

The question must survive the method.

  • Before

    State the boundary.

Define what the experiment or system would need to show, and what it cannot establish.

    Scope
  • During

    Use evidence that can disagree.

A useful check can produce a negative result. The system does not certify itself.

    Test
  • After

    Publish the limitation.

The label travels with the result. Failures and killed mechanisms remain part of the record.

    Record

Plain answers

Human Intent, without the fog.

What does Human Intent mean at Vext Labs?

It is our name for a research agenda. It asks how an intelligent system can begin with what a person means, preserve the boundaries that person sets, and remain accountable to them.

Is Human Intent a claim that Vext Labs has built a new type of intelligence?

No. Human Intent describes the direction of our research and product work. It is not a claim that a new type of intelligence is already proven or available.

How does Human Intent relate to JUWEL?

Vext Labs is the research and product lab. JUWEL is the product built by Vext Labs. JUWEL's product vision is language as the kernel; current product status and access are documented on juwel.ai.

How does Vext Labs test this agenda?

We publish scoped research, state limitations, use explicit evidence labels, and preserve negative results rather than presenting every experiment as a success.
